EFFECTS ON THE PHYSICOCHEMICAL PROPERTIES OF PARTIAL SUBSTITUTION OF Ni for Co IN NICKEL-COBALT SPINELS NixCo3-xO4 (x= 0, 0.4, 0.8) USING NEW SYNTHESIS METHOD (PECHINI TECHNIQUE).
New preparation method of mixed oxides (Pechini) was used to investigate the effects of partial substitution of Co by Ni in nickel-cobalt spinels. The roughness factor, the specific surface area, the BET surface were determined. Electrocatalytic properties were studied by different electrochemical methods. X-ray, FTIR, NIR–UV-vis spectroscopy and scanning electronic microscopy (SEM) were used to characterize the oxide surface. Cyclic and steady state voltammetries were used for electrochemical characterization The results of this investigation showed an increase in the electrochemical activities of mixed oxides.
