Les dieux de la forge en Égypte pharaonique et en Afrique noire : des similitudes révélatrices

Through comparative mythology, this study aims at highlighting few similarities between Ancient Egypt and the rest of the Black continent. The comparison focuses on the Birth of the Universe also known as Cosmo-genesis. To that end, our study relied on the Philosophy of a Memphite Priest, which allowed us to explore the concept of the Creative Word as taught by Memphis theologists. The power of the Creative Word is also a technique largely found in several other African religious philosophies, including the Minyanka, Dogon, Akan, Fulani, etc. Furthermore, the study explores the concept of nb anx» "Master of Life" in those cultures. Not only these different theologies underline the eminence of the God-Blacksmith and his rote in the Creation process, they also show a deeply-rooted cultural unity between Ancient Egypt and post-pharaohs African beliefs.
